Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) is making a bold move to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption across Pakistan by expanding its network of EV charging stations. This initiative aligns with the government’s push towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable transportation solutions.
APL’s commitment to fostering EV infrastructure development is reflected in its recent actions, including the installation of three 180KW fast EV charging stations at key locations. With plans to further increase the availability of charging stations across the country, APL is supporting a cleaner environment and contributing to the fight against climate change.
Expanding EV Charging Network for Long-Distance Travelers
A key focus for APL is the extension of its DC Fast Electric Vehicle Charging network along Pakistan’s motorway service areas. This strategic move will benefit long-distance EV drivers by providing convenient and reliable charging options during travel.
In addition to its motorway initiatives, APL has already installed and commissioned EV charging facilities at several locations, including Islamabad Club, Garrison Filling Station, and Hassan Petroleum.
Sustainable Energy and Future Projects
Beyond the EV charging stations, APL is exploring other green energy initiatives. The company plans to transition to On-Grid Solar Systems at its retail outlets and storage facilities to further reduce its carbon footprint and promote renewable energy.
In another step toward sustainable development, APL is setting up an LPG storage and filling plant in Rawalpindi, aimed at improving the region’s supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
These efforts mark a significant milestone in Pakistan’s journey towards a greener and more sustainable future, supporting the government’s efforts to promote EVs and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
By investing in EV charging infrastructure, APL is playing a critical role in encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles and advancing environmental sustainability in Pakistan.
