Changan Pakistan has introduced a new variant of its popular loader vehicle, the M9 Sherpa. Master Changan Motors has named this latest version the “Sherpa Power 1.2L,” with a soft launch taking place today.
Key Upgrades:
The new Sherpa Power 1.2L is equipped with a 1200cc engine, an upgrade from the current 1000cc engine. It also features a 5-speed manual transmission. Another significant improvement is the addition of power steering, which is not available in the existing 1.0L M9 Sherpa.
Pricing:
The introductory price for the Sherpa Power 1.2L is set at PKR 2,254,000, while the current 1.0L M9 model is priced at PKR 2,179,000. This means customers can access the enhanced engine and power steering for an additional PKR 75,000.

The M9 Sherpa, first launched in Pakistan in 2018, boasts the following features:
- Dimensions: 4560mm in length, 1645mm in width, and 1890mm in height, with a 2900mm wheelbase.
- Safety: Equipped with a 3-point safety belt and a steering lock.
- Tyres & Wheels: 175/70R tyre size and 14-inch rims.
- Fuel Capacity: 40-liter tank.
- Brakes & Suspension: Disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear, supported by a vacuum booster. The front suspension is Macpherson independent, while the rear is leaf spring dependent.
- Cargo Space: The cargo box has a length of 2750mm, a width of 1520mm, and a height of 370mm.
- Additional Features: Includes a speaker system, cupholder, sunvisors for the driver and passenger, Radio/AUX/Clock, body-colored side-view mirrors, and optional fog lamps.
